The Legal Services Authority has been constituted under the issuing legal Services Authority Act to provide free legal services and assistance to children. The Legal Services Authority’s provides services in all 14 districts of the state. The Legal Services Authority shall be prepared panel of experts, skilled lawyers who are handling child abuses cases and also referred them to special court.
The special Court or legal Services Authority shall account for severity and gravity of the offence, medical expenditure, relationship with perpetrator, loss of education/employment, contraction of STDs/HIV, pregnancy, financial condition of victim, immediate rehabilitation and other relevant factors while awarding compensation. Interim compensation and final compensation shall be allotted to the child for mental or physical trauma on the basis of an application received by the District Legal Service Authority or order issued by the Special Court audit shall be deducted from the final compensation amount.
