The Commission
The Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights came into existence on June 3, 2013. It comprises a Chairperson and six Members.
Administrative Division
An Officer of the rank of Secretary assists the Commission and is the head of its administration. The Commission has administrative, finance, complaints and media wings, in addition to a POCSO Cell and a RTE Cell which handle Protection and Development issues respectively, related to children, including the implementation of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and the Right to Education Act, 2009.
The establishment structure of the units are given below:
Administrative Branch:
An Officer of the rank of Joint Secretary to the Government is the Administrative Officer of the Commission.

Finance Branch:
Finance Branch is headed by a Finance Officer of the Commission who is of the rank of Joint Secretary of the Finance Secretariat.

The Complaints Branch is headed by a Registrar, who is of the rank of Additional Law Secretary to the Government.

Public Relations Branch is headed by a Public Relations Officer of the rank of Information Officer in the Information Public Relations Department of the State Government.
